Bob's Blog Archive July 28, 2008 So I’m out Saturday night for dinner with my cousin Cherie and her husband Gerry, and he tells me he’s been surfing the internet and came across Bob’s Blog. (I didn’t know non industry folks would be interested in my blog) He says he liked what I had to say but needed to ask me one very important question, “Where’s your hat?” Well, I was in the middle of White suburbia and I would have been the only one with a hat on, so I left it in the car. Actually, I had three hats in my car that night. This led to a whole discussion about hats and why nobody we hang out with wears them. It turns out that Cherie just bought a cool hat that she loves but doesn’t wear out much. But, she really likes it. It was the main topic during our cocktails and dinner. So much so that after dinner, Cherie wanted to go home get her hat and meet us for more drinks at the local pub. But, she would only wear her hat if I wore mine. Deal. We met at the bar, again in the middle of White suburbia, and this time there are 2 people wearing hats, me and Cherie. Well maybe we started something. After some time, I put my hat on my wife. Then, Gerry takes the hat from his wife and he starts wearing it. The best was when this blond (I like women) woman leaves her date to come talk to us about our hats. She tries them on and looks fantastic. I think her “friend” heard me describe her as sexy. Maybe it was the cocktails but our little hat party got noticed. Maybe this woman will buy a hat for herself, who knows. What’s the point of this blog? It’s that hats are fun. Not many people wear them. But those who do know what I’m talking about. And, here is a picture of Cherie wearing her hat.
